Really, all of the references and nods that we think we are finding in WandaVision will make more sense once the entire series has played itself out. The origin of the Nexus in Marvel’s mythology is unclear, though the prevailing theories on WandaVision point to the fact that Wanda is going to freak out near the end of this storyline and rip a hole between realities, creating repercussions that will have to be sorted in MCU movies like Doctor Strange 2 and the as-yet-untitled Spider-Man 3. The commercial in WandaVision for was Nexus, an antidepressant aimed at people who feel like the world is “going on without you.” The ad says that the medication seeks to “anchor you back to your reality, or the reality of your choice.” This could point to Wanda setting up an alternate reality because she is unhappy with the one that she is living in… one without Vision (Paul Bettany) in it. This week, though, the episode seven commercial seemed to make a clear reference that pointed forward to the future direction of the MCU.
